Just thought you people would think its funny.

I have 2 Male guppies in with 8 neons. My guppies are schooling with the neons. Wherever the school of neons go, my guppies are right there with them. I think its funny and cute.

That is soooo cool. I've found that my molly fry, who never used to school, now buddy up like mad since they're in a big tank (on their own, no adult). It's funny because the 2 day old ones follow their big (2 months old) brothers and sisters around too!

Do you have pictures? That would make for a seriously cute photo.

Unforunately, no photos. I currently have no internet at home. I'm only on here at work.

It's cute tho. First, the 2 guppies were hanging out at the top of the tank...then after awhile, they started schooling with my neons. Its so funny, the neons are faster so the guppies have to speed up to keep up with them!!!!

Talking of schooling, our 13x 3m.o. fry and 13x 2w.o. fry (all mollies) are happily sharing a 150L tank (39G?) with loads of hiding places. I had to put a convalescent adult molly (my female balloon molly) out of her hospital tank as she'd been there for over 2 weeks after being sick, and is a very sociable fish. We decided to take the risk and put her in the tank with the babies. We saw them immediately swarm up to her, and we figured they wanted to school, but no, they were just pecking at her like bloody pirhanas! After a while, they stopped when she started moving about. Was really bizarre. To think we were worried she'd eat the fry!

Wow! Did they stop completely and not hurt her? She has been through the ringer!

Yep, they stopped, as soon as we realized that she was gasping for breath and that we'd just plopped her into a tank that was 4 degrees C higher than her previous one (we were treating the fry tank for ICH). So we did this massive water change with loads of cold water, and plopped some ice cubes in there, brought down the thermostat and voilaaaa, a fresh balloon molly moving around, that the fry leave alone. Many I felt guilty. That poor fish must have been boiling!
