I think they're more of a pygmy than a dwarf. They're teeny tiny and shouldn't get over 1.5"
I love the DG's. The store had a whole bunch and young ones, but I won't take a chance with them again.

Great news for you! Did you ask them to hold some for you?

Thanks! They're very friendly. The pics partially caught the blue sparkles.
At least two of them have blue eyes. I'm not sure about the 3rd one. He was exploring around too much.

Lucy, they will really color up after you feed them a lot. They are so amazing under the light they seem like aliens b/c of the sparkling effect they give.

I know I am a little late to the party, but congrats on getting more gouramis!

They are beyond cute...I may have to go on a mission to see if anyone has them around here. Although I saw the video of your guys getting friendly with each other so maybe you will end up with some fry!

Dont know if you remember, but my flame gourami Steve made it through whatever sickness he had last month. I am very happy that he is still with me, even though he is more than a little spoiled as a result.

It is so tempting to buy another DG for my other tanks but after losing Chaim and hearing the horror stories, I can't do it.

Thanks Ken. I've never seen them in the box stores. I had to drive quite a ways to get them.
You know all about that.

I'm really happy about Steve. Can't blame you for spoiling him, I would too!DG's are tempting. It's hard to walk away from them.

I put some java moss around the drift wood. We'll see what happens. Breeding isn't really my thing though.
