A couple of days ago i got a pair of sunset honey gouramis. After a little while, the male would swim up to the females tail then she would touch the end of his tail with her mouth. They would make a circle shape and start swimming around in a circle

hopefully just being friendly LOL ...if they are a pair and are going to mate, you will see your boy making a huge bubble nest...

They are in a 55 gallon tall and the female has buldges but it is not big enough for the female to be ready to start laying eggs. The water is a little warm at 80degrees what are some ways to cool down the water

my gouramis colours have changed, the male has really pretty reflective orange outlining his fins while the female has turned a shade of brown-orange and her bump has been seeming to grow. I fed her some peas last night to see if she was just constapated and poop was stuck in her gut but her belly seems bigger. my mom won't let me set up another tank for them to breed so i took my breeder boxs and made a little square to minamize the current as much as possible. The male is pecking on my hornwort(the only live plant i have). i don't know if he is just eating algae or if he is trying to gather peices for his nest.

I'm excited to hear how they're putting on a show for you keep posting! If the male was ready to mate tho he would put on a color show of bluish purples and black tips, so once he does this they may spawn but i don't know if you'll have success in a commmunity tank. Enjoy your free show

Could you post pictures of your sunset honeys? I keep getting mixed replys about whether or not I have a dwarf sunset honey or not.
I hope they're breeding and thanks for updating so frequently!
