Could I keep two dwarf gourami's with a pearl gourami? what about a sparkling gourami?

it would depend on the size of the tank..gourami's are territorial and need a spot to call their own

I wouldn't keep sparkling gouramis with any other gourami species; if you've never seen them in person they are tiny and there's no way they could hold their own against a territorial DG or pearl. I think you'd have a difficult time keeping 2 DGs period, let alone with a pearl.

I've kept Sparkling (3) with a DG. I had plenty of plants though. Though my DG is a ham and the Sparklings were too busy showing off to one another.

It's a pretty heavily planted 30gal tank and I've had two DG's together for about 2 months now and they are fine with each other. So what's the verdict yes with lots of plants or definitely not ?

IMO no ..I think you would be upsetting the calm you have now ...others might have more opinions

I had two dwarf gouramis and one killed the other, in a tank with plenty of hiding places and plants. It sounds like you might have two very peaceful ones, in which it might work out okay. My dwarf, with the other gone, is peaceful and timid regarding all other fish in the tank (including many tetras, a honey gourami, and other smaller fish).
