just got a blue and gold gourami yesterday. the blue is pretty mellow and just takes it easy, but any time he crosses the path of the gold...the gold starts chasing him.
i realize it's not a good thing and the blue could get stressed and get sick, but i also just wonder if they need to "come to an understanding" or "establish a pecking order."
i've kept blues and golds together before, but they usually got along pretty good.
are there any strategies i can use to make them feel like they have their own territories laid out? i've got two huge pieces of
driftwood and some plants growing from the bottom. and some floating "frogbit" type stuff. the fish store guy said he thought it came off another plant (which i don't believe is correct) and said he would give it to me for free.
but beyond takin one out and puttin it in another tank, i don't really have any ideas how to help them get along besides waiting it out. they just look so nice together.
