Gourami Advice!

I've just set up my new 39gal today and I'm going to get a Gourami tommorrow. I've never kept Gouramis before and I'm wondering what kind would suit a 39gal best? It'll be living with a pair of Kribs and some Neons and Platys. Any Ideas?

pearl gourami! they are one of the more peaceful varieties and i think they're gorgeous! i've wanted one for a while, and whenever i finish building my stand for a 29 and move out of this dorm then i'm definitely going to have a pearl as my "centerpiece" fish!

A pearl would be a nice choice, or you could do a dwarf.

I got a Pearl Gourami a few weeks ago, colorful and active. So I would go with whatever color you like. I had a Dwarf Sunset Gourami that died a few days ago in my other tank. Havin disease probs. My LFS has another Dwarf they got in and they are a shimmering pastel blue color; Powder Blue Gourmai. Absolutley stunning!! I was drooling when I scene them, lol!!!!

My Pearl Gourami is the calmest and most social fish in my tank ... he hangs out in plants with my Angel, they're great pals! ... I say Pearl ... but they are ALL beautiful fish ... tough choice, just wanted to let you know of my experience ...
