Do they still have iridovirus in the stores?

Are gouramis still being attacked by the iridovirus? And if so, is it all strains of gouramis?

I cant be sure but I bought a dwarf from the local pet store about a month and a half ago. He was quarantined for a while and seems healthy as a horse. I asked where he came from and they had to look and sure enough he came from the Philippines. So either I Dodged a big bullet or the problem is dying down.

It seems that things are back to the more normal infection rates, as we've had several members get dwarf gourami recently with no problems.
It's still something that the fish can get, but it's not as prevalent as it was last year.

I would still isolate any new Gourami just in case for a few weeks if you can.
