I have one very aggressive gourami in my fish tank he is the only gourami in the tank, bergen came from petco he is a gold full size gourami. he ate the tails and scales off my hatchet fish and ate their remains, and now goes after my platys. I gave him a long time out and that didn't work. Maybe the problem is he is the biggest fish in the tank and thinks he's the boss, I really can't seem to find out what his problem is. please respond, thank you! -fishlover78

what size tank? gourami's are very territorial..other than taking him out, moving around all the decorations and revamping the setup, not just a time out, he might have to go in another tank or be exchanged goodluck!

he is in a 27 gallon hexagon tank with 2 plecos (yes I know they have to go!) 8 danios, 1 fancy tail guppy, and three platties

remove him from the tank...completely redecorate the setup ...move things to other sides to confuse him...totally make it look different...then put him back in...if this works, you are golden...I had a blue gourami that was huge and I had to do this once a month with him..then he went to a bigger home with some friends
