How many more

Hi, I have a 20 gallon tank and currently have 1 dwarf Gourami and I Gold Gourami who get along great. I also have 2 snails. I would like to add either fancy guppys or 2 more gouramis and 1 more snail. I had 3 tiger tetras during the cycle and all 3 died eventually after my gouramis came. Luckily their bodies got eaten after they died.I have had my tank now for 5 monthes. The gouramis were put in after 6 weeks. What do you guys think? What kind of Gourami's and or/ guppies? I would prefer the gourami's over the guppies but can I do this in a 20 gallon tank?
Help!
