HOw to change water if there is a gourami nest of bubbles?

Hi,

This thought came to me....
How to perform water change if there is a gourami nest of bubbles?

Also, how to perform water change when fish eggs (doesn't matter what type fish) have been laid anywhere in the tank?

if u arent breedin ur gourami its okay to wreck the nest.. it will just build a new one.

if there are eggs in the tank stay to the far side and just clean the gravel there and suck out water. eggs dont take that long to hatch so its okay to go just one week without cleaning all the gravel but be sure to clean it when they hatch. when putting water back in, again keep it on the opposite side. u can use small cup fulls out of a larger container of dechlorinated, same temp as the tank water to pour in slowly.

Also,

DO NOT drop the water level below the eggs! The eggs should NOT be exposed from the water at any point in time. (Even people that move eggs put the container into the water and scoop the eggs into the container, you don't pull the eggs out of the water. )

If you're careful with the waterchange you won't wreck the bubblenest. Dino and I have done waterchanges on betta tanks while they had bubblenests and done just fine.

Don't create more current than necessary to pull the water, and be slow when pouring it back in.. you should do fine. (If you pour water back into the tank against the glass it should thwart some of the disturbance.)
