Sex of my gouramis

Hello, can you please help me identify the sex of these two red robin gouramis that I have just purchased?

Also, when I got them home, I noticed that the left 'whisker' (not sure what the proper term for this is!) is shorter than the right. Is this likely to cause problems in the future? Other than that, the fish seems to be settling in well.

you have two you say... red robin gouramis huh?... do you notice any color differences? Such as one fish having drabber coloration than the other. or if they both seem to have the same coloration, if they're both bright red or drabber silver in some areas, you have either two males or two females (bright red=male, silver-ish=female).

As for your "pelvic fin" which is the technical fish term for "whisker", one being shorter than the other shold be any problem. My friend has a betta with the same problem, AND he's in a community tank with DANIOS. Nothings wrong with him, and bettas and gouramis are in the same family, anabantids, so nothing should be wrong.

I noticed that the dorsal fin was slightly rounded on both of them so thought they might be females. The LFS also said he thought at least one of them were female. But I wasn't sure about this as I had heard it was rare to find female gouramis.

They both appear the same colour so they are probably the same sex.

The both have rounded fins so I say they are both girls.
