What is a good food for this fish and will it eat any guppies or platty or tetra's

They'll probably eat guppy fry (baby guppies.) Flake food (tropical and veggie), bloodworms, pellet foods of all sorts, adult brine shrimp, etc..

I'd start with a good staple flake like Omega One or New Life Spectrum. Then supplement that with bloodworms, tubifex worms and veggie rounds. Variety is the key. They are beautiful fish, but take care with what you have in the tank with them. Gourmis can be quite the bully, especially if you have more than one of them in the tank!

I definetly agree with Gunnie, I only have had luck with one gourami in a tank. When I tried 3 in a 30g, it was always chasing/fighting over and over. It was a real stresser for me, so I took them back to the LFS. If you look at my sig, the fish I have now, work just great, finally Whew
