Have 2 KGs - both about 2-3". Recently one has developed what appears to be a swollen mouth - reddish in color. No longer does any kissin'; doesn't appear to be eating but does go to the surface for air with regularity. :-(

Any ideas what I'm dealing with?

Kissing Gouramis are not kissing because they like each other...They mouth bite when they fight. I would make sure they both have lots of places to hide and can get away from each other. How big is your tank? you may have to get rid of one if the tank is not big enough. I have a 37G with two gouramis and they each have their own part of the tank.
