please help me, my gold gourami is floundering on his side on the bottom of the tank! he was feeding as normal this morning then suddenly sank to the bottom. is there anything i can do or is it fatal? all other fish are fine and he otherwise looks healthy.

update.
i have been to my local aquatics, they tested my water and all is fine there, they seem to think it's an internal bacterial problem, i've isolated him to a nice soft nusery net and treat the tank, now it's just fingers crossed. thank you for any concern

What size is your tank? and what are your water test readings? what other fish are in the tank with him? Sorry for all the questions.

thanks, the tank is 80cm by 30cm by35cm, apart from a pearl gourami all the fish are titchy, all have been getting along swimingly if you'll pardon the pun for several months now and are very tame. i'm just about to take some water for testing. he's still there, he dosent seem too stressed, i'm more stressed! i'm just about to pop along to my local aquatics centre, they are usually very helpful, thankyou for your intrest,

Hi, i also have a gold gourami and he tends to be pretty aggressive to my pacu, silver dollar and my three spoted gourami. We then saw he would just chase them not injure them. So we waited the night out watching how often he would chase them and by the next morning he would not chase them. Gold gouramis tend to be pretty aggresive sometimes.
