| It says that the dorsal fin is rounded in girls .... but these all have it rounded not pointed. Or they are too little to tell.
Anyway, there are 3 of them, 2 with stripes and one blue.
When I choose the blue one from the "assorted tank" (crazy idea to sell assorted fishes like kandy) there were males in there with a bump on head and visible nice orange stripes. So, I assumed that one was a girls.
With the other 2, later on, I looked not to have the bump on the head. The ones I could tell that were males had more colorufull stripes but they were bigger. So, the girls don't have stripes at all ?I'll keep you posted if I can figure it out. No agression so far ....
Thanks. At least they are dwarfs. |

| One of the little ones (with stripes) is pecking on the blue-big ones chest. It's kind of following her/him around.
I assume that's a male :
Well, I hope the other one is a girl ... |

| Those are Powder Blue Dwarf Gouramis. Their coloration looks to be female, but that could be the camera and tank lighting playing tricks. If they are agressive and terrotorial then they are most likely males. |

The color looks better in the pics than reality.
They kind of play-chase like neons do, nothing like betta-girls kind of chase.
The 2 little ones dance together (like chasing eachother tail) and then they kiss several times. Interesting to watch.
I don't know about territorial .... every little fish seems to have his own place in the tank.
Thank you.

the last set of pics of your Colisa lalia
It looks like you do have them sexed correctly. Another way of sexing by their dorsal fin
is to look at the length of it when they are relaxed. When it is not all flared and pointy, the length of the male will actually pass the point where the anal fin starts.
The female will fall short of the anal. |

| Thank you. The little girl is having a hard time being under the watch of both little male and big female. I tried to separate her ... she is going mental without her friends (they spent too much time together already). We'll see ... I am keeping an eye on her.
