Depending tank size, and remember that the hatchets and gouramis are both surface fish and gourami are a lot more territorial.

Remember blue and gold gouramis are semi-aggresive and usualy bully smaller fish. If you want a hatchet fish, check its size and be sure it is not injured in shiping.
