OK so in my last post I noted that my gouramis were aggressive...I have spent the last hour watching them..here are the results..and a question...

I have a blue one and a yellow one..the blue one is smaller then the yellow..sometimes it seems like he is (OK i know that this is gonna sound weird)kissing or cleaning the other one...after the blue one has done this for a while the yellow will get ****ed off and quickly swim away...they do this all the time...the blue one seems to be the ruler esp if there is bottom feeder pellets on the ground..blue chases all of them away..
I have noticed though that when he does this nobody has bite marks (lol) or pieces missing from fins or tails...
does somebody know about this...

Is it biting/kissing it on the side of its body?
Because mine do this sometimes and i take it as
a sign of aggresion. Maybe you have 2 males which
is not a good mix.

Were they both acclimated at the same time?

Freshwater Guy: yes I bought them together, they were in the same bag from the store and put in the tank together...does this affect them..

LOL ok so how am I suppose to know if I have to 2 males (they both seem very shy to show me)

Males have a pointed dorsel fin, the female is more rounded.
Google some pictures, once you know what to look for its easy.
If it turns out you have 2 males id suggest swapping 1 for a female,
and maybe get another female so the male has 2 to divide his attention.
Ive got 2 females now because of the males ive had they were to aggresive
for my liking.
