To adopt or not...

A few weeks ago (like the middle of last month) I replied to an add on kijiji for someone who wanted to get rid of their pond goldies for the winter. I never got a responce back until today. Apparently they've sold their large aquarium (wanted to spend more time with the grandkids) and are looking to give away the last two large fish. 1 is a large common goldi and the other is a long fin comet... Now I've only got Charlie in the 56 right now. But I don't know. I'd like to take them but I'm worried that a) They'll be too large for my tank and I don't have a pond (and won't be getting one in the near future). b)They might bother Charlie and c) adding two large fish to the 56 will be too much of a shock to my bio load.
What do you guys think?

Wow red.... i dont know...... The large goldies could beat up charlie, and they would also eat pretty quick. He probably wouldnt be able to eat much if at all...

The bioload is also a concern.... how big are they?

Don't know for sure the lady just meant large. However they were pond fish so I'm thinking 6" minimum...

It really isn't a good idea to mix the fancy (Charlie) with the commons and comets. The fancy doesn't swim as well and will be out-competed for food. The bio-load would also be a concern. If they have been in a pond, they could be anywhere from 3 inches to 12 inches (or more). If you had a tank that would be just for the two new ones, it might work, but I would be nervous about adding them to Charlie's tank. I don't think they would beat up on Charlie, but the shock to the tank could make him sick, as well as the food issue.
