Aquarist,Thanks for the link I think I have that one my fav's already (LOL)
Anyway I'm going to get them a 20 gallon tank long if I can find one cheap enough,I found a whole kit for $75.00 at walmart It's a high though But I'm still on a tight budget it might have to do
I will keep you all up to date on these two

shell, Frick & Icky are adorable !!! Wishing you the very best of times with them !

Also, I'd hold out to find that 20 long. One will come up for sale soon enough, you may even want to check out Craigs list (or better yet... put it on your Christmas list ! hehee). The 20 high doesn't offer enough swimming room (plus it's hard to clean, having to reach deep down into it) and you'd end up having to replace it down the road, as Frick & Ick get bigger !

I wish you lived near me, I'd give you my old 16high to use temporarily while you wait to find the 20 long ! I have it disassembled and in my fish closet right now.

good luck with the new babies, they are simply adorable !

Got Bubble Eye's New Tank :)

Well it's not a long... but now that it's set up I love it
There having so much fun exploring all the room They're all over the place I have to get a different air stone, thinking a bubble wall like in my 30 ga, and also a background also thinking blue like in my 30ga but other than that I think my Grandson will be quite happy with his new tank (who am I kidding it's mine, mine, mine, LOL)

It looks great! I love the clear marbles. They reflect all the light and the color of the goldfish when they swim by.

Just a thought - are the plants plastic or silk or real? Bubble eye goldfish are best kept with silk plants so they don't damage the eye sacs by bumping into the hard plastic plants...

The plants are plastic but I did the nylon test (from my betta Days) and they passed... But I am heading to the craft store to see if I can find some nice silk one next week or so I will keep an eye on them just in case though, thanks for the tip

nylon test?

I'm assuming that's like rubbing/running the plant along a stretched out nylon and if it doesn't snag the nylon, then it's safe. I don't know if that's actually true for fish (cool easy test if it is true), but I'm pretty sure that's what the nylon test is.

yes... that's what the nylon test is...(LOL) I used to use it to make sure a decoration or plant would not catch one of my beautiful Betta's Tail,
Anyway the plastic plant is now out... on account of My Grandson didn't much like the way I did his tank a little girly for his taste I guess...so were going to redo it today with some river stones and natural looking stuff

I can see how that would work for a a betta's fins. Also for most fish. The only thing to remember is that the sacs around the eyes on telescope and celestial goldfish is much more delicate than fins. Think of them as a soap bubble - if it would pop a soap bubble, it might damage the eye sacs. (Which is why I don't have any of the fancies in my pond - to dangerous for the fish!)
