Well, I'm planning on keeping 4-5 fancy goldies in my 55g when I get it sealed. I had a thought earlier today and it was something like "You know, I could get a couple of small fancies and keep them in the rubbermaid tub on the back porch for a week or two until the tank is ready". I wasn't too serious about it though.
Well, when we went to Wal-Mart, my little sister saw a
goldfish that she really liked. He was white with orange fins. To make a long story short, I bought him for her and now he's living in the 20g tub. I have a filter rated for a 40g on there.
He was listed as a fantail, but I think he mught be a ryukin - he has a pretty deep body and a kind of shortish tail. She named him Firefly because of his bright tail. (Well... now that you mention it, I'm the one who brought up that name. She wanted to call him "Splotch", but I thought that was kind of... boring.)
