| Am I the only one that thinks these are gross? Don't get me wrong, I think goldies like this are adorable. I just don't have room for them:
But the freaky eyed ones and the 'brain fish' as my family calls them... I just think they're disgusting. Am I the only one? |

| I love my goldies, but i don't like the second kind, the bubble eyes or the black moors either. the last one you have there, i didn't used to like them, but they have cute personalities. my ELVIS was like that, but he died |

| Poor Elvis RIP
But I dunno... just something about how it looks like the brains are exposed just doesn't do it for me... |

| I love goldies.....the bubbles eyes and the last one are a little freaky to me. I like black moors and fantails.
I was in a walmart once where the bubble eyes were being attacked by other fish. They were popping the bubbles, it was so sad.
I went to customer service then waited while I made sure they separated everyone of them. That place makes me cry |

| The only goldies I like are the comets, as well.
I really don't like the bubble eyes, and the others look like they've got tumors. |

| I once had a black moor and I really loved him, but I don't like seeing animal bred into such extreme forms that they have a hard time functioning normally.
I don't think they're "disgusting", but I do feel badly for some of them. |

| I love all goldies, but I do think it is sad when I see fish that are so imbread that they cannot function normally (especially the bubble eyes). I have a red cap oranda that looks similar to the fish in the bottom pic and he is such a cutie. Shawnie and Jacq are right, they have great personalities |

| I'm sure they're wonderful fish, just the whole brainy thing isn't very attractive to me... |

| Each of the weird fish have people who love them and who hate them.
There's at least two threads out there about fear of plecos.
One of the members referred to kuhlis as "...ummm...eely"
Some people like what balloon mollies look like. I think they always look sick and inbred.
The first time I saw both of these types of fish, I actually thought they were sick. It was only when I saw them in a species tank when I realized that they were supposed to be like this. |

| So true, SDS
I think plecos are adorable, kuhlis are awesome (although I love snakes and eels), and that balloon mollies are not attractive fish.
And many people have the exact opposite opinions. |

| I think they look really cool! I agree with most of you though that the bubble eye situation is kind of sad. I like they have a different look than most of the regular fish that you see, not really just that stream line fish shape that most people think of when they think fish. |

| I like the comets and the shubunkins - the ones that are more fish shaped. The fancy goldfish can be very pretty, but to me they are weeble fish (weebles wobble but they don't fall down). I just don't care for that body shape. My great-uncle's roommate had a large fishtank and he bred fancy goldfish. I don't remember which ones, it was too long ago and I was too young. We weren't allowed to go any closer than 10 feet from the tank (he was very protective of his fish). My comets have major personalities also. They are like little puppies in wetsuits... |
