my gold fish got really fat is he/she sick

i bought a large goldfish for my pond a few weeks ago and now it is really fat and its eyes are kinda jutting out of its head. the person that i bought it from had the goldfish mating is it possible that its pregnant or is it sick and dying?

What are you feeding, and how much. It sounds like it could be constipated, or if the scales are sticking out, it could have dropsey.

My suggestion would be to fast the fish for several days and see if it makes a difference.
