Is a 10 gallon at 75F ok for a goldfish??

I visited my friend's friends aqurium shop which they both run. OMG the most amazing fish you will ever seeeee. anyway they had this huge 100 gallon tank with these huge goldfish he said most of them where like 6 to 10 years old all the fancy type. I asked how to keep good care of goldfish and blah blah and he told me that they r cold water fish but like the fancy ones r better kept at 22 to 24C because it easy to keep water stable. I wasnt too sure of it and like since then i been wanting to buy a gold fish for my 10 gallon like blackmoor or like a lionhead.

There are no goldfish that should be kept in ANY tank smaller than a 20g. Most people on Fishlore agree or atleast settle with 20g for the first goldfish 10-20g per goldfish after that. I think you should start with a 55g and go up from there. They grow to be 8 inches to a foot in length and are HEAVY bioload producer.s

So, to answer your question:

Is a 10g enough? No.

The temp is fine. I would say you could keep him in there for a little while IF you definitely make sure you have another tank ready for him when he reaches about 5". Also, have you cycled your tank? If not, please read http://www.fishlore.com/NitrogenCycle.htm
