is it possible to put goldfish into a freshwater community tank,i have heard from one or two people that you can ,has anyone tried or heard the same?

No, as goldfish are coldwater fish and need temps below 75 F. Your tank is tropical fish and they need temps around 78-82 F.

my fancy goldfish r currently living at at temperature of 76-77 fareinheit but thats without my heater being in my new setup its coming in2 the summer over here and the temperature outside is gettin warmer and if gradually increasin the temp. in my tank but my goldfish r as happy as can b i also got 5 mountain minnows and there living peacefully with my goldfish no chasin or fighting so im very pleased how my return 2 the hobbie is goin but if u want goldfish what i wud say is get them in2 a seperate tank just in case they do not agree with the tropical fish

I got 2 goldfish in a freshwater community tank but its coldwater. They're with the mountaimn minnows, tetras and a black moor - all friendly but we introduced the small fish, then the moor and then lastly the goldfish as babies so they're all good friends. My outdoor golfsih on the other hand will eat anything smaller than themselves so keep an eye out...

I have 6 fantail goldfish and 1 has been with tropical fish for months until all the tropical fish died.

Usually goldfih need cooler temps and so do the mountain minnows. Goldfish sometimes carry bacteria that tropical fish will be not be immune to and vice versa.

If you're keeping Goldfish with tropical fish, expect to clean more often. They are big waste producers. Do not keep double-tailed goldfish with any fast coldwater or tropical fish. They are slower and will not get as much food. Comets might soon overcrowd. They also might eat fish later when they reach their full size.
