Can i put Fantail goldfish with common goldfish?

It's usually not recommended because the fancy goldfish aren't as quick as common goldfish because of their tail shape. Because of the speed difference the common goldfish will be able to get to the food quicker and eat it all before the fancy goldish can get any.

Hi i have got a tiny little fantail in beside my goldfish and he does just fine, he is the hardiest little fish in the tank he has been through so much he has had two bouts of white spot, a fungal infection that split his fantail in two ,its now healed up,
And as for the speed thing i have found that they are much faster than people give them credit for, as when the goldfish play follow the leader he can keep up with them just fine and feeding is not a problem even though i have a fast flowing tank, but the choice is yours ok ....cheers sasha
