Would Glowlights/Tetras do well with Molly/Platy fry?

Hi, were getting another tank soon for our current tetras (& also to add more tetras to the tank) (we're also thinking of transfering our pleco aswell).
I was wondering if I could also use the tank as a 'safe place' for new & growing Molly & Platy fry

If they're small, I'm pretty sure they'll get eaten. Hiding places, lots of plants might help but I'm not sure they'd be any safer with tetras than their parents.

Edit: I deleted the duplicate thread. It's only necessary to post the same question once. It's easier for everyone to keep up with the responses.
If it's in the wrong forum, a mod will usually take care of it.

As nice as Glowlights are, I'd say no. I have a few Platy fry around at the moment that are refusing to be caught, and when they come out of their fern the Glow's are the first fishies in there after them. Neons, maybe, as they are a little smaller, but I'd still be very careful if you do wish to have fry and other fish.
They don't mean to be nasty, just think 'FOOOOOOD!'
Good luck with the fry!

Good morning. I have to agree. Fry should be kept with fry and no adult fish. (excluding Discus fry that need the parent to feed from).

agreed, i'd wait until the fry are at least a half of an inch before keeping them with any other fish, larger depending on the size of the fish
