Swollen underbelly!

One of my glowlights has a swollen underbelly. Its not red or enflamed, his underbelly has gotton larger and slightly pointed. Have i overfed it? I only put 6 small flakes in the tank for all my fish? Could it be anything else?

Swollen underbelly could mean a few things, if you have more than one in there it could very well be pregnant, if its not swimming right it could be a swim bladder infection, which is more common in goldfish but not unheard of in tetras, take a look at how its swimming, if it seems odd try chopping up some frozen peas nice and tiny and feeding it that it could help.

On a side note, as far as i know you cannot make your fish's stomach swell by overfeeding it, it will simply stop eating when its full, then you get some nice algae out of the leftover food.

I don't have algea in the tank, so i can't be overfeeding them? The swelling actually seems to have gone down...wierd, its completely back to normal! But i'll feed them some frozen peas just to make sure...thanks!

I think i know what this is because i have a harlequin rasbora which is hte same

I have 5 harelquins turns out to be 4 male and 1 female, thankfully she doesnt get picked on because the males are busy showing off

But anyway, my female will eat her food and she becomes extremely bloated, and then when i see her the next morning shes normal

Actually, fishes can become visibly bloated if you overfeed them... they don't stop when they're full. My tetras used to get quite fat after I fed them too many bloodworms, but a few pieces of pea did the trick every time. Like Ben said, they are usually fine by morning. Of course, you should still try to avoid overfeeding in the first place
