Mine lived a pretty long time, not sure how long though. What killed them is my heater kicked on and for some reason, didn't shut off and was on all day long and I didn't realize it until it was too late.

Glowlights are pretty hardy fish, especially if kept under the right conditions. Sorry to hear about your heater-that's a bummer.
