Will my honey gouramis pick on ghost shrimp?

I want to get a couple of ghost shrimp for my tank. I have a 55 gallon with a couple of hiding places. I used to keep ghost shrimp but my catfish would eat them, but he died not so long ago at 9 years old. I am expecting to get atleast 5

I have a dwarf Gourami who doesnt even notice my ghost shrimp. Its by the fish I am afraid. What I would do is try and introduce the shrimp with the lights out and by submerging the bag into the water allowing them to escape into the hiding places under cover. Then its a matter of if the fish hunts them or not.

Note: Ghost Shrimp have a habit of hiding well. They can disappear for weeks then suddenly they are back. It will be hard to tell unless you see them eating the shirp with your own eyes.

In general, the shrimp will be okay except when molting (the fact that they're good hiders, as KyWild said, gives them a better shot). When molting, they need places to hide that the fish can't get into/under.

I had placed a smattering of my ghost shrimp into a tank with a goldfish. They were doing absolutely fine for a couple of months and then I went on vacation... Despite the fact I placed a feeder in the tank. I got back and every single one of them was gone. So, I'm guessing it also depends on how hungry the fish is.. or if it misses a regular feeding.

Ok, thanks for the information. I have decided to go with albino corys instead.
