Yes, the shrimp would work. but thats not the problem....

your tank is WAY overstocked.... 3 platy 2 cory cats and an algae eater do not fit in that aquarium. not even 2 platies!

you need to either return most of the fish or get a bigger tank, the "rule" is one inch of adult fish per gallon of water!

and yes, these shrimp work with almost anything... except something that might eat them. but for the most part, they are good in almost every tank.

Sounds good just dont get anything that may eat them. There is a slight possiblity that the platys may attempt to peck at them MAYBE.

along these lines, does the same 1" rule for fish apply to the # of shrimp as well?
