Buying a ghost shrimp for a friend...

My friend has a 10 gallon tank with 3 of my previous molly fry in it. Her graduation party is tomorrow and I wanted to buy her a ghost shrimp.

I'm going to the pet store tonight to pick up some stuff for myself. I want to buy the shrimp tonight and bring it tomorrow. Any ideas? I have a ghost shrimp myself so I don't want to let it loose but I don't want to leave it in a closed bag all night. I feel like it would get out of the breeder net.

lol I need ideas!!!

They are jumpers every time you bring them to the top of the tank they try to commit suicide. I have one of the floating in-closed breeders i think it was 5 bucks that would do the trick it has a lid i think it was sold as a 3 in one breeder. I too would feel bad leaving him in a bag overnight i think it would stress him out as well.

lol I went to a PetSmart and a PetCo... both were out of ghost shrimps!!!!

So... I'm going to actually give her mine and I'll get a new one when they get a new shipment in so I don't have to worry about what to keep it in tonight...

Thats how most pet stores treat ghost shrimp as food when i bought mine (as pets) the guy in the pet store was so rude about it. Saying they will die quickly and they are not really good for anything but food, but i think they are cool pets.
