I know it sounds kinda silly, but it's sort of impersonal writing to everyone here and not having a clue what any of you look like. So I figure maybe some of you that don't hate your pictures THAT much might join in. At the risk of scaring you all, this is me... lol.
Alot of sites have these threads but we have alot of young people whose parents would probable prefer that they not post their pictures. So if thats the case kids comply with your parents wishes.
I looked for the Christmas pic of me sitting on Dino clauses knee but couldn't find it so heres the Hubby and I.
Carol
ooooooooh, def hate my pictures!! will have a look and scare you all!
here's a pic of me and my boys. as you can see...i really dont like having pics taken!! - the boys love posing for pics, so i've hundreds of them and hardly any of me! took ages to find this one!
I use the most recent one of me as my signature pic, but here is one of me from November (when I had longer hair & was blonde...I like change!). I love seeing everyone's pics!!! We are a lovely and diverse group!!! (And tan.b, your babies are ADORABLE!!!) Thank you all for sharing who you are (and I agree with Carol in regards to pics of the younger folks). Hello to all!!
For those who are looking for something they can download for photo editing, go to www.gimp.org (I promise you this isn't a wierd site. GIMP is an acronym for GNU Image Manipulation Program). The GIMP is an open-source program* that was, more or less, backward-engineered from Photoshop. It is totally free, and is loved by many people in the computer graphics industry. It functions a little differently than Photoshop, but the results are similar. You can download tools for it, just like with Photoshop.
*Open source program means that the code is left open for people who have the knowledge to do so to play with it and change the program. In this way, the project was developed by people from all around the world, allowing collaboration that equals or even beats that in a professional setting.
Here are a couple of pictures of me (sans face) from last year's Halloween party. Kudos to anyone who knows who I went as. (Hint: the accessories are important)
Sorry about the size. I cropped them by half, wife must have had the pictures set for huge size when she took them.
Hi Jim
It is nice to know what everyone looks like that we converse with each day! Here is a photo of me at a beach down the road from where I live on cape cod, MA.
This is me and my garden gnome. I wouldn't normally dream of posting a picture on a forum, but I really trust this one. It feels very safe and there's been no dodgy business. Great work, moderators!
This is my Fiancee and I. We've been together for 5 years now! We're both 19 and met our freshman year in high school. Pretty great stuff.*
Alas, we haven't got a date set yet that's perrmanent. Only because he's in the Navy and I'm in college... Mother made him promise that we won't get married until i'm done with college. SO! Our goal is to get married on August 8th, 2009.*
He's going to the Persian Gulf in March.
This next one is he and I for my prom last year in May. I'm only going to post it as a link because it's rather large. I like this pic. Picture!
Everybody's photos were great! Here's me and my sis. In my picture I'm wearing the graduation hat for "graduating 6th grade." I was forced to wear them so don't blame me!!!
