Emergency Fish Tank Switch

This is not the first time this has happened to me, but I have made a mess of it. My 27 Hex sprung a leak on one the side. The day before I had a gotten a 30 Tall off Craigslist that was GOING to go to my daughter. Instead I had to quickly change everything from the 27 into it. The fish tank is not in the location I would like, I made a mess of the substrate and I am hoping my fish will be OK after the switch. I have flourite substrate and it is messy. And trying to re-plant was a feat in the messy two foot high tank.
I couldn't leave all my fish in the only bucket I had available (a 2G since I left the 5's outside and they got ruined in the snow). So after trying to get most of the plants in, I put the fish back into the tank. But it was really cloudy because of the flourite. I am hoping I didn't make it worse by putting them in bad water.

as long as you transferred all the filter and media, and the deco and subtrate, you should be ok...the mess from the flourite should be ok with some overnight filtering...maybe add some extra filter floss to help also
goodluck! and sorry about the leak

Thanks Shawnie. I am just worried because it was SO cloudy. I am afraid it would have been too stressful on them and they will get sick. I have had two filters funning for a few weeks now on the tank to seed it for the tank in my daughters room. I put them both on the 30 and it was doing great until I tried to fix the substrate and plants. I kicked it right back up again everything is covered with a layer of dirt. :-(
I have a large anubias. I put on on the left side of the tank and put the gravel in after. This morning I noticed most of the gravel is in the front of the tank and behind the anubias in the corner there was practically nothing. I was tryng to move water, catch fish, find plants and remove plants at the same time. If I had had more time I would have done it differently.
