| Sadly, it's been tried and doesn't work. In addition, many Minnesota fisherman took it upon themselves to fish out and kill as many carp as possible. All it ever did was litter the shores with carp carcasses. The problem is that carp breed like rabbits, and you don't get the fry when you fish for them, you pretty much only get the adults. Some of the fry will then survive to adulthood, spawn, and the problem begins again.
Many invasive animals are like that; the only way to truly eradicate them from a locale is to sterilize the locale, an option which isn't all that useful in most scenarios. Last edited by sirdarksol; February 11th, 2010 at 06:20 PM.
