Hey Dave,

I doubt it.. But theres one way to find out!

All I really know about these fish is there not the predator everyone likes to think they are.. There more of a scavenger. A buddy of mine has one And he feeds him different types of sinking pellets with the occasional bloodworm treat..

Its actually really neat the way these guys eat.. They scoop up a mouth full of gravel, get the food out of it, and spit the rocks back out.. from what I've seen anyways.

No harm in trying earth worms as long as you clean them out good.. Inside and out.. And make sure you know where they come from.. No chemicals or pesticides or anything on the ground your getting them from.. Its a lot easier to put that stuff into your tank then it is getting it out!

Thanks for the reply the reason I am curious is because he was recently given to me and he is a foot and a half long and I can't see these little bloodworms I have filling him up.

Well, like I said before, not going to hurt to try.. Just get some worms, and put them in a container of some sort full of damp shredded newspaper.. (no ink on it..) and leave them for about a week.. That will clean them out inside..

A lot of people say The fish's stomach is as big as one of it eyes.. I'm guessing that does not apply to fish like these..

That has a little info about feeding, and some other things about dragon goby's you might be interested in.

I don't think so, despite that huge mouth I heard somewhere that they have very small throats and prefer smaller foods. Try bloodworms.
