It is very sad.
Unfortunatly if we don't enforce collection limits it will happen again...or has already happened before...all over the world.

When I went on PETA, it talked all about protecting circus animals, pets, etc...So far, I haven't found anything about fish. Aren't they animals, too?

Most Animal welfare or animal rights groups don't have much to say about tropical fish or fish in general.

How sad. There are some morons in this world.

PETA are right into hassling people about fish over here. I've had my line cut by divers several times while recreational angling. A know tactic of PETA. I've been hurtled with rocks while fishing & I've even had a bucket of fish guts thrown at me. All by members of PETA wearing shirts with the PETA logo & shouting stupid slogans the whole way. They even get stuck into aquarium owners over here because they think keeping fish is cruel. I can't stand them. Some of thier members are ok & have thier hearts, (and heads), in the right place but many of them are straight up whack jobs. Read some of the garbage on thier website & you will soon see just how whako many of thier members really are.

Sorry about the rant. I just really don't like PETA. I'm all for protecting animals & coservation but these guys just take it too far.

In my opinion, the problem with PETA, is that while many of their people might have the right idea......it is also a forum for WACK-O's for whom causing trouble is much more important than what they really stand for..........

I really hope they figure out how it happened and who did it and why they did it. There are a lot of puzzle pieces to fitting together in this.

I totally agree in regards to PETA! Their hearts are in the right place, but they are definitely eccentric in their tactics and go overboard in some of their viewpoints.

I'm sorry, but I don't think that eating meat means you abuse animals or that eating meat means you have no right to be upset over dog fighting, etc.

I'm also a very strong believer in people having the right to make their own decisions on whether to go to the circus or whether to keep domesticated animals (in proper conditions, of course).

WARNING OFFTOPIC RANT:
PETA decided to put on a protest here in saskatoon about fur coats. It was minus 40 that day and they were running around without jackets (many nearly naked) sorry but to me that a) defines stupidity b) defines PETA...

Don't forget when PETA members met with executives from Ben&Jerry's about making ice cream made from human breast milk so we wouldn't have to be cruel to cows for their milk. Pretty sure it was Ben&Jerry's but it's been over a year since I read the article. Buncha freaks with their priorities all wrong, so busy being fools they've lost all credibility in my eyes.
