Restructuring my setups

Due to several factors, not the least of which being the fact that there's just a limited amount of room in my house, I will be changing my aquarium setups.
I'll be adding one tank, getting rid of at least one, probably two, and shuffling fish around.

The 90g will be staying where it is, and probably will keep its current stocking, though I'm not positive about that.

My 29g tall (the old experiment with the Zero water change System) will be coming down for sure.

My 20g long is likely coming down, as long as I can figure out what I'm going to do with its current lone inhabitant; a guppy.

My 10g is likely staying up, though it will probably go in the basement. It's empty right now, and is serving as an experiment for SeaChem's Neutral Regulator, but once I'm done with the experiment, I'm hoping to house some sparkling gourami, if I can find them. Otherwise, it may become a juvie tank for guppies.

I'll be adding a large tank in the basement, where our computer desk currently sits (we haven't used our desktop in years). Stocking for that tank is questionable, other than I want to grow lotuses. I'm torn between a cold-water tank and a tank primarily stocked with guppies.

Sounds like a big project.

Why do you have one guppy in a 20 long?
Sounds like mine, right now I have 1 guppy, 1 sparkling gourami and a young cory.
You'll like Sparklers, they have charm, but can get aggressive during spawning.

Why do I have one guppy in a 20g long? Because the others have died. I'd be giving her some company, but I'm on a really tight budget right now (yes, so tight I can't even afford a couple of guppies). A friend has a bunch of feeder guppies he's got in a tank of his. When he decides it's culling time, I get choice of which ones I want.

So am I. I was really sad when the last of the purple Moscows died. I just can't get them to breed at all.

Don't you just love those special fish projects?

I got guppies. When the weather warms up, let me know if you want some My daughter won't let me feed them to my JD's.

What kind of guppies do you have? (not that I'm going to be picky... rather, I want to know what traits to look for when picking from my friend's stock)

I have some mosaics. The others I'm not sure what they're called. There's a few different color variations I'll get some pics for you over the next few days.

Hi SDS, hope all is going well. If you happen to source some "sparklers" pm me on the location if you have time. I am still on Rich's list in Forest Lake...

Thanks,
Dave

Forest Lake Pets is the only place that I've heard of carrying them around here, and they said it's unlikely they'll get any for quite awhile. It sounds like they're limiting the abnormal purchases until the economy stabilizes.

I too have recently reworked my tank set-up. It has been an all winter project to organize the basement fish room to accommodate just one more tank, it's a 125. The work has been slow as I have moved fish around while working but the end result is great.
I have some green guppies and red wag platies to share if your interested. The weather is stil too cold for shipping w/o heat so we need to wait a while.
