Bread Baking 1st time

So this is the first time I've baked bread on my own. My grandma does by hand and I remember helping her when I was younger, mom does as well but mostly for buns.
Anyway the dough prep went well, I punched the bread back down and it rose a second time (which was a concern ) right now is the moment of truth since it's in the oven as i type... we'll see how this part goes.
Will keep you all updated, I suspect that something will go wrong soon

I've never tried baking bread myself, but I'm looking forward to seeing how this turns out. I'm sure it'll be great!

Well I just took it out of the ovan and my first lesson... the extra no-stick spray on the pan burned the bottom of everything... The crusts are defintely crunchy... and the buns turned out somewhat oversize

Oversized buns are great for oversized burgers

Care to share your recipe? I'll trade you for my Mom's recipe. We were raised on homemade bread. Every Monday was bake day and Mom would make 2-3 batches of bread (8 loaves each). Some was given to friends, but most was for our sandwiches and whatnot. Hmmm - fresh hot bread and ice cold milk. We would race home from school on Monday to get our first slice. We would fight over the crust.

No-stick spray doesn't work well for bread. A bit of oil in the bottom of the pan, form the loaf and roll it in the pan to pick up oil onto the top of the loaf and set the loaf in the pan. Our pans are so black from being used that the loaves turn out just perfect all around.
