A guy at my local fish club gonna give some type of rare livebearer I dont remember what the name of it is but I'll try to figure it out

I'm soo execited

Few questions for you guys

I heard you guy doing a mini cycle (exanging filter media gravel ect)
My question is how do you go through that process

Are they endler's livebearers he's giving you?

I don't understand your question regarding the mini-cycle. With established tanks up and running, you could easily set up another filter on one of your existing tanks for a few weeks and you should be able to avoid any mini-cycle.

No not endlers (Its on the tip of my tounge) but he got alot of them in his tanks. Hes also got 34 tanks at his house by the way.

Regaurding the mini cyle i'v heard people putting existing gravel and filter media and water and saying its cycled Is that true?

I've done the existing media, substrate to cycle a tank 20 times. Yep, it works. I usually don't add existing water though. It's a good idea to keep an eye on your water parameters for a couple weeks afterwards just to make sure it works, but I've never had a problem.
