A tale of Towels

So yesterday for my birthday my parents came into the city and my dad brought with him this handy stuff called teflon tape... to seal the threads on new valves I but on the 32 gals canister filter.
So taped up and everything we get the pump going and everything is fine, then a little while later mom looks over at the tank and goes, is the filter leaking? We look and... the "out" hose tubing hadn't been secured at the back of the tank and lucky us, the hose had fallen un noticed on the floor. So 5 gallons of water on the rug and no dry towels left the canister filter is finally fixed.

By now (not quite 24 hours later) there are only a few damp spots left here and there around the tanks

At least your mom noticed before the majority of the tank and spilled out the back

OMG the same thing has happened to me and i lost about 5 gallons of water too.. and a quarter of my room was flooded lol.
Another time I had just cleaned my filter and didn't realise that it was broken and could not quite seal probably, then i turned it on and water goes in the filter and the filter practically EXPLODED!!! water all over the cords and the electrical outlet...couldn't use that outlet for a week until it dried out. The hilarious thing was I ran to the bathroom to fetch some towels and the door started to close, I was in a hurry of course so I kinda tried to run through the door while was opening it again....SMACK...BIG bumb on my forehead and a huge headache later... LOL
