when was the last water change? could be ammonia or a pH issue...is your tap water much different ph than you tank? with ammonia in the tank, you need daily water changes with some conditioner to detox the ammonia/nitrites...prime, amquel+ or even ammo lock at this point would work well...

also test your ph in your tap water with the ph in your tank and compare them

Amtrite Down : the bottle says Ammonia/nitrite Reduction aerobic Bacteria

im glad its worked for you but something is going on now...have you compared your ph 's?
I know my african tank cannot handle big water changes as my ph in my tank is much higher than my tap ph ..and when larger changes are done, they have a huge ph shock which can kill them....

he died every thing was fine ecept the nitrate it was reading low . we did a warter change before i put stuff it but he must of had some thing else wrong not sure mabey the change put him in to shock
