I should ban myself from Aquabid...

I've been on aquabid again... It's horrible I mean, you can't really ship in January anyway
But I consider aquabid a learning experiance. For example all the betta auctions are learning experiances. After all how can you decide what traits you do or don't like for breeding without first examining the traits out there.

Also it's a great place to discover species you've never heard of before. I have to have a google tab open so I can google all these scientific names I find.

And then there are the things you learn about yourself... for example, I have a weakness for the "un-cute" fish. You know the ones, they make the circle from cute, all the way through ugly and into adorable territory again.
TETRADON PALEMBANGENSIS
Not only are they awkwardly adorable... they're freshwater... and I've got a 20 gal that could be opened up for 1 temporarily until I can upgrade to the 30 I've found recommended...

I just have to keep telling myself, no fish shipping till thaw, no fish shipping till thaw...

Good lord, Red.

I'm not sure I would have ever known what "awkwardly adorable" would have meant until I saw that fish.

On the contrary, FL is actually a quarantene for fish-related-human-illnesses of that kind. Somewhere, people in white coats are examining us and the forums, seeing how we interact and trying to find a cure.

Not to mention another new one I read today: MPS (multiple pond syndrome).

This place is downright contagious!

BB, you are right, enablers is the correct term. Why as soon as I read this post I checked out the links and then found myself gleefully clicking links on Aquabid for an hour.

I looove Aquabid. I'm as bad as you Red I end up trying to figure out how to set up more tanks in order to make room for all of the fish I see on there. The plant section is pretty addicting too. I end up ordering tons of plants when I don't even have room in my tanks.
