| Moving Fish Hi
Haven't posted in ages!
Anyway I am moving apartment next week and the most major difficult part is my little fish moving.
Last time I moved was ok as had bought new tank so had it set up and then just put fish in bags and did same as woud when bought.
This time I have to use this tank so have to put fish in buckets, empty tank, bring tank and cabinet to new apartment. Set it up. Get fish into bags and bring them over.
Apartment is very close which helps. This is plan does it sound ok:
1st siphon some of water in tank and put in buckets. Catch fish and put them in buckets. I have 2 heaters so will put in in each to keep temp same.
2nd Empty water from tank but keep it. Leave fiter materials etc in tank.
3rd Bring tank and cabinet over to new place and set up. Put in saved water.
4th Catch fishies again and put in bags. Bring water that was in buckets over and put into tank. Bring fish over in bags and float in tank. Put heater back into tank and turn on filter and heat etc. Leave lights off.
5th Release fish from bags.
Does that sound ok. Poor fish they do not like being caught! Especially my
bleeding heart tetras as they were wild caught and are very jumpy and nervous, grand with other peope but scared of being caught poor loves.
