Turkey Baster??

Okay... am I weird?....

I wanted to clean up the the gravel in the batta's 2.5 gallon tank and do a partial water change.... but I COULDN'T see using that "vac" that I bought for the 10 gallon tank (I'm still getting the hang of getting the vacuum going, and it pretty much causes a mini "fish tital wave" when I use it in the 10 gallon tank).... so, I decided to use a Turkey Baster for the 2.5 gallon tank.

It worked GREAT !!... but, now I can't help but feeling weird.... honest, I wasn't basting my betta... LOL...

Anyone else use a Turkey Baster to clean the gravel in their tiny tanks?

LOLOLOLOL... what, Betta's don't like turkey drippings?.... (and, a little fish salmonella in the turkey gravy would give it flavor, wouldn't it?... LOLOL [just kidding])

No, don't worry.... I have the "special baster" put aside with the bucket, fish tank vacuum, water conitioner, net, etc, etc.... specially JUST for the tanks.

It's good to know I'm not crazy... LOL...

Actually, when I told my husband that I'd used a Turkey baster for the Betta tank, I thought he was going to tell me I was a weirdo... but he actually said "you know, I was thinking about suggesting that to you"... LOL.

I also use a turkey baster, both for feeding, stirring up my sand, and getting dirt out.

I use one to spot-clean my Axolotl tank. Axolotls are pretty sensitive, and need really good water quality, so if they foul their tank between my water changes, I do a wee bit of precision cleaning with my baster.
