Well this is the new tank. I got it on saturday and used filter media and substrate to cycle it. Here's the pics of the new fish as well:

Its got an african theme... but they're cons...

Here's the new boy, well... i think he's a boy... i'll let you decide.

Looks awesome, Tony! Yes, that's a boy, but I think he may be a hybrid. No big deal, though, he's gorgeous for sure! Definitely not a female.

I think he's a hybrid too... That's his normal coloration too.... he's like blue and brown with greenish/brownish stripes....

OMG-she's tiny! How big is she? She may not be big enough to breed yet. Either that or he's a huge fish.

she's like 1 inch to 1 1/2.... he's like 5 tho

that last pic has me wondering...theres too much color of red/orange towards the tail anal area...that really doesnt look like a male to me...but its definately a weird colored con ...

Shawnie, its odd isn't it? In real life you cant see those colors at all... just blue and brown

Mine are about 1-1 1/2". They're babies. You know I LOVE to watch fish grow up. I can tell ya in a few months, though.

the red thats consitant on the gillplate in every pic..isnt a color for cons unless exposed to nasty tanks....but you have had IT (LOL) for some time...im still thinking its a stress girlie con...but thats my assumption ..

He could be a baby green flier cichlid. He could be a Honduran Red Point as well. Honestly, I think he could be a hybrid though. It'll be easier to tell once he gets a bit bigger. He's a tiny little guy right now. Regardless, he's a cutie Best of luck with him!

No, I can't remember. I get plants from everywhere, even Craigslist with tanks, so they could've come from pet stores we haven't even heard of.
