| My husband & I always celebrate at my parents house. We get there on Christmas Eve, eat a nice dinner & open gifts from out of town relatives. Then we stay up late watching Christmas movies & chatting. Then we sleep in and get up late the next day. We eat a great breakfast & open presents. Usually we go see a movie afterward and hang out the rest of the day. |

| We make a big roaster of chili and every one comes over sometime during the day. All of my siblings have families (kids, grandkids) of their own, so they have their family christmas mornings, then come over to show off their favorite christmas presents. It is kind of an open house, come and go type thing. Our big get together is Thanksgiving. Everyone comes over for Thanksgiving dinner (around 1 pm). It's actually kind of nice - everyone brings something so no one person has to cook for everyone. Our family is about 65-70 strong (four generations) and most of them live close enough to come for Thanksgiving dinner. There is also the inevitable "stray" or 2 (or more) that gets invited, plus boyfriends or girlfriends that get hauled along to "meet the family". |

| Well, my family goes to my parents for Turkey and then we go to my woman's family for xmas which in turns means we go to her grandparents. As long as the weather is nice I don't mind it. |

| you guys are making me hungry , with all the big roaster of chili, turkey, and all the food. haha , i think i going to have some turkey this year.
is it hard to make a turkey, because it so big in size. is you big roaster of chili very hot? as i always think that people from US can really take very hot stuff, i once had a friend from US and i took him to eat our local food and he really can't stand the chili from our BBQ fish. |

at least you get to celebrate with his family, and i saw your driving thread. It's seem like your boyfriend really treat you very well, even i too teach my gal how to drive but i still very worry about my car more then her haha .
so treasure what you have now, and leet past be past build your own future with your own hands, and always be proud of it. May god bless you. |

| We usually go to other towns and visit with the family.
But a few years ago, people would come to our house, have turkey mashed potatoes, Ham, cranberry pie, apple pie, pumpkin pie and a few other pies, then we would gather around the tree, adn hand out the gifts. Then we go to bed, and wake up early the next day to find presents. Then we sleep, eat breakfast with hot chocolate, then we sleep, heat up the left overs and then we go shopping
that's kinda what the family tradition is like |

The main thing is to not let the breast meat get too dry. We roast ours in a turkey bag (cooking bag) breast side down so it can absorb all the nice juices.
Our chili isn't very hot at all. We have some diced chilis for anyone who wants to add some heat. |

| Good morning. Chef and I will be spending Christmas Holidays here at home. We usually have a "drop by" for friends and neighbors. Chef will deep fry a few turkeys, a couple for us and then for any of the neighbors that want theirs deep fried as well. He charges $5 just to cover the cost of the cooking oil. Last year I believe he deep fried a total of 11 of them. He preps all kinds of munchies for the drop by folks and we just sit around an talk and have some and some (with Bailey's). Later Christmas Eve night we have dinner for a few of our closest friends and exchange gifts. Christmas morning Chef and I get up and open all of our from . Then we repeat everything we did on Christmas Eve, pretty much. It's two wonderful days of sharing with each other and our friends and neighbors. My favorite time of year. I go all out decorating for Christmas and everyone has to tour the house to see it all. Makes me feel good I'm planning 3 Christmas trees this year. Some of them are going to freak when they see my new 265g tank.
I'm only asking for some SNOW this year, (I'll buy my new myself soon) December 23rd to the 26th and then it can stop. (I can be flexible with the days as long as it's between December 23 and Jan 1, 2010. HO ho ho!
Ken
PS
I wish we had more Christmas Smiley's! |

| MMmmm. Christmas! Nothing makes me all warm and fuzzy like the holidays. Something about the holidays just makes me feel like a little kid, I love it. Though last year, because research is crazy in grad school, I couldn't go home till Christmas Eve and I left the day after Christmas, not much time to celebrate and enjoy.
I'm hoping this year will be different and I'll get to spend some time home with the family. And this also means, the only place open on xmas eve for shopping won't be the grocery store and I won't have to get my brother beer for a present hahaha!. |
