Hi all. It has been a while since I was on. We had a baby boy in August and life has been crazy. Thankfully all is well with our fish

We are thinking of moving to a new house, so I need some advice on how to move our 40 gal fresh water tank. It currently has 14 Tetras in it & 2 Cory Cats.

How can I move this tank safely and not stress out these guys? Should I transport them in something other then the tank? It is a half-hex glass corner tank and it weighs a lot- so we would need to remove some of the water to even get it onto a moving truck, is that okay to do?

When I move fish, I move them in containers that depend on their size - rubbermaids for my Oscars - but smaller plastic containers for my small fish. You could even bag them for along trip. I would NOT leave them in them tank when moving - that's just a disaster waiting to happen.
