...apparently my families theory is just so I can make new ones.

Grr... I set this weekend aside to be a study/catch-up weekend and finally get my apartment clean. Just got a call today from my grandma and they're coming in for my cousin's birthday. Sigh. I love them so I'm not complaining but at the same time this is really gonna mess with my plans.

I hate when that happens.

I once got SOOO mad because my mom called me right after work as I was just sitting down to play a game. I know it's stupid, but I was looking forward to my chill time all day and then it was ruined so easily.

Totally understand where you're coming from. We have a lot of family get-togethers. Too many, IMO. My family gets offended when I have something else I'm working on and don't want to join in. I'll re-arrange my plans for birthdays, but I won't do it for plain old get-togethers and it drives them nuts. They always get first priority for holidays, though, so it really shouldn't be a big deal.
