Help me feel better please.

I cant go through this again. I am in pain... Im tired of this happening...

3 years ago we went to the US consulate to renew our visa like we did every year. Well, the officer denied it and banned my parents. She said my sister and i could go back if we wanted, so we had hope. Finally my parents decided for my sister and i to try again. So we made an appointment in the US embassy. I left my house today at 4 am and arrived there at 8. Everything seemed to be going really well.

Then, we got called up for the infamous "interview"... the Officer seemed really nice... She took our passports, our applications. Then she asked my mom for her visa. Our old visa's are still on our passport. They have this HUGE stamp that says "Canceled without prejudice" When the officer saw this, her eyes opened. She checked my and my sister's passport. They also had it. So she scanned it on the computer and our file came up.

She went on reading, and we could tell from her facial expressions that something was wrong. She then turned to us, with a face of pain. She said it wasnt possible. She started saying she was sorry. My sister and i cant get a visa, since my parent's need to have one for my sister and i to apply. Well, the first officer lied. She banned my parents for 5 years (when they were supposed to be 3!) and told my sister and i could apply.

Well to make it all quick we didnt get it. It was denied, again. I am so hurt. I am usually very strong, but i cant take it anymore. It just makes me angry, that there are thousands of illegal immigrants, and US who want to do things right, get punished and blamed, and ridiculed. I am in so much pain, i didnt want to go through this again, but i am and i have to be strong yet again.

I am sorry for writing this, as i dont know who else to go to. Because of what happened 3 years ago, my life was ruined, i am broke because of what happened, and....

I apologize. My psychologist says things get better when you write about them.

I hope you understand me, and help me go thorugh this painful moment of my life, yet again.

I am so sorry Tony. I can't imagine how you must be feeling right now. I don't know if you are a religous person or not, but you will be in my prayers. (If you're not religious just think about it as good thoughts sent your way.) Meanwhile maybe you should reward yourself some how. Do something kind for yourself to pick your spirits up.

Listening to your favorite music can help improve your mood. I know it sounds like a band-aid for a broken leg. But every little bit can help.

Oh Tony... I'm so sorry you have to go through this. I wish I could say something to make you feel better, but I don't know anything about immigration. I feel so bad for you.

Awww, Tony that really stinks.
I can't say I understand any of what's involved, but is it possible to go over her head and speak to a supervisor?

Tony, so sorry to hear about this happening to you. Do you have something like legal aid that can help with immigration issues. Just remember that everything happens for a reason, find the positive in it and next time maybe it will happen for you.

Dont let it make you sad for long, hope you feel better.

Sorry to hear about your problems Tony. And the idea of coming to Canada in January is not so bad, we only have around -35C (-31F)...you'll get used to it. I have friends here from South Africa who wear shorts till November, if they got used to the cold, you will to.

And remember, usually when a door closes on you, is just to make room for a bigger one to open.

Thanks everyone. I let it all out yesterday with mom. You see, last time it happened (3 years ago) i didnt let it out. I held it in, which made me change. People said i was beggining to be harsh all the time. I didnt even let it out untill i got hit the second time. That was it, it all came out and boy do i feel better. I took the day off from school today, these kinds of things arent forgotten by the next day.

Yesterday i was tearing while writing and reading what i wrote, but now i am not so i guess things are better.

That's why when i got home i came on FL right away, i knew i would feel better.

LOL@ click! I remember when i lived in the states, it would be winter and we would see all the elder men and women would come from oregon and all the northern states and they would be wearing shorts and sleeveless shirts LOL

when i went to quebec back in april, i was freezing! LOL we were barely like 10 degrees LOL

I'm glad you're feeling better. Keeping things inside is not good for the long term, they will get you at some point (I learned that the hard way). Keep your head up, good things can and will happen from now on.

Glad you're feeling better So touched by the above posters. As they said, and I believe in it too, if one door closes, surely it's for a reason. Stay strong pal!
