the previous car was kinda junky. It worked well enough, but was a lot of work.
I actually had to use 5w40 because the piston rings were so worn, the dash lights would randomly not work, and the rear was all scraped up from some car in a parking lot.
She's glad to have a new one.
Although this one needs a bit of R&R too.
1. New tires soon (the rear's have less than year of tread left), I always buy all 4 at once cus you can normally get a sweet deal like (buy 3, get the 4th free).
2. At least one tire is either unbalanced or has a broken belt but we didn't notice at the dealer, missed bargaining point *single tear*
3. Alignment is off, but we have the NTB 3 year plan that's transferable to new cars (so they said when we got it, we'll see...lol). We'll also have NTB inspect the suspension...and then take it to another mechanic for a second opinion lol!
4. 100,000 mile maintenance schedule is coming up.
5. They replaced the brakes, but they squeal. I gotta get in there with some brake-quiet goop.
Nothing major, just a lot of little things.
MY corolla is a 2000 and STILL running strong at 155,000 miles. I should probably put some money into suspension work though, it's getting a little rowdy on the road, lol. Maybe I'll invade my parents' garage this summer ;-D
